Flat-Out Fun

Hey, kids! Try this nutty twist on breakfast.

Our Kid Cook Madison, 10, from Elysburg, PA, tested this month's recipe with a little help from Buddy, her 3-year-old Lhasa Apso. Buddy was very attentive while Madison made the pancakes. "He kept smelling them and wanting to eat them!" she says. Madison is no stranger to cooking breakfast: "I like to make toast and Pop-Tarts and help make scrambled eggs." Her favorite part of this recipe was decorating the poodle pancakes with the whipped cream—and yes, Buddy got a pancake, too.
