Pickled Shallots

Ingredients

  • 2 thinly sliced shallots
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Preparation

Combine all ingredients with 1/4 cup water and let sit 10 minutes; drain. Serve on roast beef sandwiches or burgers, in tacos or tossed into salads.
