Dunk a white pillowcase in your favorite color of dye. Gravity takes care of the rest.
1. Pour fabric dye into a bucket filled with warm water.
2. Submerge the bottom one- to two-thirds of a washed cotton pillowcase into the dye bath and cover the bucket with foil to keep the heat in.
3. Check the fabric after about 10 minutes -- the longer it soaks, the deeper the color will be.
4. Once the bottom is dyed to a color you love, remove the pillowcase, hang from a line with clothespins or a skirt hanger (colored side on top) and let dry completely.
