The Arrow Fold

Dress up your table with this on point -- and super easy -- napkin fold!

Step 1

Fold the napkin in half to form a rectangle, then fold the rectangle in half to make a square. Pull the top double layer back two-thirds of the way and press a crease into the fold.

Step 2

Take the bottom corners of the top flap and pull them inward about an inch, until triangles form at the crease; press the triangles and folds flat.

Step 3

On the bottom flap, fold each corner toward the center, overlapping them to form a peak. Carefully flip the napkin to reveal an arrow.

The Pretzel Fold

Step 1

Fold the napkin into a triangle, then, starting from the tip opposite the fold, roll tightly inward.

Step 1

Fold the napkin in half lengthwise three times. Place your hand at the center and fold the strip in half over your hand.

Flip the strip up onto its edge, then place your silverware across it, close to the corner.

Pull the ends of the napkin over the silverware and through the loop at the other end of the strip (as you would a scarf). Pull to tighten.

Place the napkin pattern side down, then bring two corners together to form a kite shape. Fold each side a quarter of the way in -- twice -- until the sides meet to form a tie shape.

Turn your tie over and arrange it vertically. Fold the upper point under the tie toward the right, then cross the point back over the top.

Pull the thin point through the loop you've created and tighten to form a knot. Tuck extra fabric into the knot.
