![]() Emily ProctorFrom Every Day with Rachael Ray April 2008 The CSI: Miami star's days are packed with crime-fightingand plenty of protien.4:45 a.m. On a workday, I usually wake up very early. (On a day off, I'll sleep in until around 9.) Either way, I get up and study scripts or read for pleasure for half an hour. I'm always too tired to read before bed.6:30 a.m. I arrive at work and eat breakfast while I get my hair done. I have three scrambled eggs with jalapeños, mushrooms and onions. We rehearse at 7 and we're shooting by 8I get dressed and get my makeup done in between. 11:30 a.m. I eat a very protein-based lunch, like some tuna salad with avocado. I nap for half an hour in my trailer, study my lines a bit more and then go back to work. 4 p.m. If I get hungry late in the afternoon, which I usually do, I'll have some red-raspberry-leaf teaI make a batch in the morning and drink it all dayand hummus or buttery toast. Lately, I've been putting coconut oil on toast; it's great for the hair! 7 p.m. We finish shooting, and I head home and go for a swimI have a saltwater pool in my backyard. 8:15 p.m. I live near a farmers' market, so I make lots of soups and salads for dinner. I'll make borscht with boar meat and sour cream. Then I'll mix greens, lemon, gouda, pink peppercorns and celery, and then eat that with some multigrain bread and a glass of wine. ![]() My sister is a chef. Before a holiday, we talk for weeks about what we're going to make! ![]()
