BEST CLAM CHOWDER
Harry's New England Clam Chowder

The competition was tough—we tasted winner after winner in this category—but Harry's, made by a small company in Portland, Oregon, took the prize for its "extra-creamy" chowder stocked with "great, chewy bits of clam" and "rustic hunks of potatoes." Tasters noted the "fresh" broth and fish flavors. No wonder: The soup's found in the refrigerated section. ($3 for 11 ounces, at select stores including Wal-Mart)
