POTPIE PRIMER

CATCH DRIP: Place the pie on a foil-lined baking sheet.

STOP THE BURN: Loosely cover the pie with foil during baking to keep the crust from over-browning.

SPOT CHECK: Insert a small knife into the center of the pie to test for doneness. If the blade comes out hot to the touch, the pie is ready.

DOWNSIZE: Use a toaster oven when baking one pie — it's just as fast.
