A dark setting and savory dumplings fresh out of the pan? This dish, created by instagram user @judena20, just screams #latenighteats! We’d say there’s never a wrong time to be noshing on pork, veggie or chicken dumplings, but these little pockets of Asian-y goodness seem particularly appropriate for an extended evening out… or in!

Talk about a plate piled high! Instagram user @gsdreams has perfected the art of pancake pileage with these Lemon Meringue Yogurt Pancakes doused in Rachael Ray’s Maple and Honey Syrup. This week’s #RRWhatchaCookin featured cook, @clairelize, not only created a perfect dish for this winter apocalypse, but also inspired us for our first themed #RRWhatchaCookin challenge! We LOVE seeing all of your instagram photos but we thought we’d mix things up a bit by including a theme. Seeing as this is the perfect weather for soups, stews, chili, oatmeal and anything else that can be eaten with a spoon, our first instagram challenge is: #inabowl. So be sure to tag all of your photos with both hastags (#RRWhatchaCookin and #inabowl) and we’ll pick our favorite to be featured on the blog next week! Happy eating, and be sure to stay warm!

This dish proves that with a little color and a lot of healthy and hearty ingredients like snap peas, avocado, mandarin oranges and almonds, you can turn an average salad into something extraordinary. Our own version of this salad may even make its way into our lunch boxes tomorrow!

We couldn’t help but notice Instagram user @inspiredchick‘s vibrant, mouth-watering photo of spaghetti and meatballs, and when we read it was her version of Rachael Ray’s Italian Spaghetti and Meatballs, we knew we had found a winner! There’s never a wrong time for spaghetti and meatballs, but it seems particularly appropriate right in the midst of winter.
