A I bought her a Mini Cooper.
Ask Rachael
Hiroko and Cal Kiffner
Q How did you come up with your "Rachaelisms"?
A I talk a lot. I let my mouth run.
Q What would be your ultimate ice cream sundae? Flavors, toppings and all!
A I really don't like sweets. However, my mom and I used to eat the nuts out of maple walnut and butter pecan ice cream at Howard Johnson, where I worked.
Q Have you ever set anything on fire in your kitchen?
A Me, my hair, my clothes, a wooden spoon, potholders, towels ...
Q Are you crazy about all animals or just dogs?
A I'm an animal lover in general, but my favorite animal is my dog, Isaboo.
Q I live in Texas, where Mexican food is very popular. What's the best Mexican dish you've ever had?
A The chile relleno at Mexican Mama (525 Hudson St., New York City, 212-924-4119).
Q What's the one ingredient you couldn't live without?
A EVOO, of course!
