Turkey Chili

Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 15 ounce can  chickpeas
  • 1 14 1/2 ounce can  diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced scallions
Directions
  1. Brown turkey in oil; add onion, garlic and spices and cook. Add chickpeas, tomatoes and 3/4 cup water; bring to boil. Simmer until thick. Top with scallions.
