Americans have been drinking Applejack for 300 years, and if you've ever had a sip you know why: A single bottle packs the flavor of six pounds of apples.

Makes: 1 servings

Prep: 5 mins

  • 1 whole clove
  • 1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice (1/2 tablespoon) and 1 lemon slice
  • 2 ounces Applejack (4 tablespoons)
  • 1/4 ounce pure maple syrup (1/2 tablespoon)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  1. Press the clove into the lemon slice. Place the applejack, lemon juice, maple syrup and cinnamon stick in a heatproof mug. Top with 3/4 cup boiling water and stir. Float the lemon slice on top.
